Bookcast, Take Two

I think I've got the hang of bookcasting now.  At least, I hope I do!

It came out longer than I wanted, but I think that's because of the intro cartoon. I considered deleting it, but in the end I just couldn't. It was fun to make, and even though it adds "bulk" to the final product, I decided it was sufficiently engaging to keep it in the movie.

The audio was so loud before I converted it to a youtube compatible movie. Post-conversion, it's kinda quiet. Note to self: next time, keep the sound a little louder to combat "conversion loss."

  1. I am blown away, Blakely!

The story you tell with such an impressive command of visual (from beautiful to "funky stick figures") and the change-up of the soundtrack is so poignant. I admire the way your mind works and how you can share that inner creative vision with others. You make the most of the unexpected to catch your viewer off guard. I never knew what to expect next and it made the viewing a real trip.

Beyond your creativity and dramatic use of tools, I've got to admire your come-back spirit. You didn't whine; never complained about the work you'd spent on Bookcast, Take 1. You came back faster and stronger and nailed it.

Congratulations on creating one of the best bookcasts ever! I'm recommending everyone watch both your book trailer and your bookcast for an amazing lesson on what makes the difference. What a contribution you've made to the class! Thank you!

  2. Blakely,
I saw Dr. Crissman's Twitter about your bookcast and had to check it out. It is SO cool! I loved the cartoon - absolutely hysterical. The text was very effective too. You always do such a great job of integrating technologies, but you out-did yourself here! Miss seeing you on Tuesdays.
